Muslim Presence in Guelma: Guelma, a city in northeastern Algeria, has a long-standing Muslim community that has shaped its cultural and religious landscape. The city's history reflects the broader Islamic heritage of the region, with generations of Muslims contributing to its development. Today, the Muslim population continues to practice their faith, maintaining traditions that have been passed down through centuries.

Community Implantation through Mosques: The Muslim community in Guelma is well-served by numerous mosques and prayer places distributed across the city and its surroundings. Notable among them is Bilal Ibn Rabah Masjid, located on Route de l'Université, which serves as a central prayer space for many residents. Other key mosques include Mosque of El Atik (Iben Khaldoun) on Rue d'Announa, Abdelhamid Ben Badis Mosque, and Mosquée Ennour. These places of worship are found in various neighborhoods, such as along Route de Belkheir and in areas like La Rue Oued Maiz and حي مخانشة عبد اللطيف, reflecting the widespread presence of the Muslim community throughout Guelma.

Prayer-Time Orientation: Muslims in Guelma observe the five daily prayers—Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha—according to the city's timezone (Africa/Algiers). Prayer times vary throughout the year due to seasonal changes in sunrise and sunset, influenced by Guelma's latitude. The calculation method used ensures accurate timings for each prayer. When praying, Muslims face the Qibla direction, which is oriented towards Mecca, located at a significant distance from Guelma. This daily rhythm of prayer connects the community to the wider Islamic world.
