Muslim Presence in Naples: Naples, a historic port city in southern Italy, is home to a diverse Muslim community that has grown steadily over recent decades. While the city's Islamic history is relatively modern, Muslims have established a visible presence through cultural associations and places of worship. The community includes both Italian converts and immigrants from North Africa, South Asia, and the Middle East, contributing to the city's multicultural fabric.

Community Implantation: Naples and its surrounding areas host numerous prayer spaces that serve the Muslim population. In the city center, Al Salam Mosque on Via Torino and the Associazione Culturale Islamica on Via Lavinaio provide convenient options for daily prayers. The Muslim Jalyia Mosque near Corso Arnaldo Lucci and Mosque Bangladesh on Via Emanuele de Deo further support the community. Beyond Naples, notable prayer places include Masjid Salerno City Centre in Salerno, Moschea Di Khadija in Benevento, and Centro Islamico Culturale di Caserta in Caserta, reflecting a widespread network across the Campania region.

Prayer-Time Orientation: Muslims in Naples follow the five daily prayers—Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha—whose timings shift throughout the year due to seasonal changes in sunrise and sunset. The city lies in the Europe/Rome timezone, and prayer calculations are based on standard methods. The Qibla direction for Naples is oriented towards Mecca, located approximately 3,000 kilometers southeast. Understanding these variations helps residents and visitors plan their worship routines effectively.
