Muslim Presence in Tarija Tarija, a city in southern Bolivia, is home to a small but established Muslim community. While the Muslim presence in Bolivia is relatively recent compared to other regions, Tarija has seen gradual settlement by Muslim families and professionals over the past few decades. The community maintains its religious practices discreetly, contributing to the city's multicultural fabric.

Community and Prayer Places The Muslim community in Tarija is centered around a few prayer spaces, though no mosques are currently listed in the city. The community gathers in private homes or rented halls for daily prayers and Friday congregations. Nearby cities like Cochabamba and Santa Cruz have larger Muslim populations with established mosques.
