Prayer Time Orientation Muslims in Arequipa observe the five daily prayers—Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha—according to the city's location in the America/Lima timezone. Prayer times vary throughout the year due to changes in sunrise and sunset, influenced by Arequipa's latitude and seasonal shifts. The calculation method used ensures accuracy for the local community. The Qibla direction for prayer is oriented towards Mecca, with a specific bearing based on the city's coordinates. The distance from Arequipa to Mecca is a significant factor in determining the prayer direction.
