Muslim Presence in Poznan Poznan, a historic city in western Poland, has seen a gradual growth in its Muslim community over recent decades. While the Muslim population remains a small minority, it is composed of both local converts and immigrants from various countries, including those from the Middle East, South Asia, and the Balkans. The community is well-integrated into the city's multicultural fabric, with a focus on maintaining religious practices in a predominantly non-Muslim environment.

Community and Prayer Places The Muslim community in Poznan is served by several prayer spaces, though there are no large mosques in the city. The main prayer room is located at the Islamic Center on ul. Grunwaldzka, which provides a space for daily prayers and Friday congregational prayers. Additionally, smaller prayer rooms exist in private homes and community centers, particularly in the districts of Jeżyce and Wilda, where many Muslim families reside. These spaces help maintain the rhythm of Islamic worship in the city.

Prayer Time Orientation Muslims in Poznan follow the five daily prayers: Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha. Prayer times vary throughout the year due to Poznan's northern latitude, with significant differences between summer and winter. The city is in the Central European Time zone (CET/CEST). The Qibla direction for Poznan is approximately 140 degrees southeast, and the distance to Mecca is around 3,800 km. The calculation method used is typically the Muslim World League or similar standard, ensuring accurate prayer times for the community.
