Muslim Presence in Kyiv: Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, is home to a diverse Muslim community that has been part of the city's fabric for generations. While the exact historical origins are not documented here, the community has established a stable presence, contributing to the city's multicultural landscape. Today, Muslims in Kyiv come from various backgrounds, including local converts and immigrants, and they practice their faith openly, with several prayer facilities serving their needs.

Community and Mosques: The Muslim community in Kyiv is well-served by several mosques and prayer places. One notable mosque is Ar-Rahma, located on Lukianivska Street, which serves as a central place of worship for many. Other prayer facilities include the Islamic Cultural Center on Dehtiarivska Street and mosques in nearby areas such as Chaiky, Bortnychi, Bucha, Boryspil, and Brovary. These locations indicate a widespread implantation of the Muslim community across the city and its suburbs, providing accessible prayer spaces for residents and visitors alike.

Prayer Times Orientation: For Muslims in Kyiv, the five daily prayers—Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha—follow the rhythm of the sun. Prayer times vary throughout the year due to Kyiv's latitude and the changing seasons, with longer days in summer and shorter in winter. The city operates on the Europe/Kyiv timezone. The Qibla direction and distance to Mecca are key for orientation during prayer. The calculation method used ensures accurate timings for the community's daily worship.
