Muslim Presence in Nablus: Nablus, a historic city in the northern West Bank, has been home to a significant Muslim community for centuries. The city's Islamic heritage is deeply rooted, with many families tracing their lineage back generations. The old city of Nablus, with its bustling souks and traditional architecture, reflects a long-standing Muslim way of life. While exact historical records are not detailed here, the presence of numerous mosques and Islamic institutions underscores the enduring faith of its residents.

Community and Mosques: Today, the Muslim community in Nablus is well-established, with over 20 mapped prayer places serving the city and its surroundings. Notable among them is the Hanbali Mosque (مسجد الحنبلي) in the old city, a central place of worship located near the blacksmiths' market. Other mosques like Al-Rawda Mosque in Rafidia and the Hawara Grand Mosque in nearby Hawara provide additional prayer spaces. The community is also connected to historic sites such as Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, though it is outside the city. These prayer places reflect the vibrant Islamic life in Nablus and its suburbs.

Prayer Times Orientation: For Muslims in Nablus, the five daily prayers—Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha—structure the day according to the sun's position. Prayer times vary throughout the year due to seasonal changes in sunrise and sunset, influenced by the city's latitude. Nablus operates on Asia/Hebron timezone. The Qibla direction, determined by the city's coordinates, guides worshippers toward Mecca, which lies a significant distance away. The calculation method used ensures accurate timings for daily prayers.
