Muslim Presence in Kaunas: Kaunas, the second-largest city in Lithuania, is home to a small but established Muslim community. While historical records of Muslim settlement in the city are limited, the presence of a prayer place indicates a long-term, stable community that has integrated into the urban fabric. Muslims in Kaunas practice their faith discreetly, contributing to the city's multicultural landscape.

Community and Prayer Places: The Muslim community in Kaunas is centered around the Church of St. Michael the Archangel, located at Nepriklausomybės a. 14. Although originally a church, this building serves as a notable prayer place for the community, reflecting the adaptive use of spaces for worship. The address in central Kaunas provides accessibility for residents and visitors alike, highlighting the community's implantation in the city's core.

Prayer Time Orientation: Muslims in Kaunas observe the five daily prayers—Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha—according to the local timezone (Europe/Vilnius). Prayer times vary throughout the year due to Kaunas's northern latitude, with significant seasonal shifts in daylight hours. The calculation method used ensures accuracy for the city's coordinates. The Qibla direction and distance to Mecca are key for orientation during prayer, connecting the local community to the global Muslim ummah.
