Muslim Presence in Cẩm Phả Cẩm Phả, a coastal city in Quảng Ninh Province, Vietnam, is home to a small but established Muslim community. While historical records are limited, the presence of Muslims in the region dates back several decades, primarily consisting of local converts and expatriates. The community has maintained its religious practices discreetly, with prayer times observed in private homes or designated spaces. The city's population of over 135,000 includes a diverse mix of ethnicities, and Muslims contribute to the cultural fabric through their daily devotions.

Community and Prayer Spaces Currently, there are no mapped mosques or prayer rooms in Cẩm Phả, indicating that the Muslim community relies on informal arrangements for congregational prayers. This may reflect the community's small size or its integration into the broader society. For those seeking prayer facilities, nearby cities such as Hạ Long or Hanoi offer established mosques. Despite the lack of dedicated spaces, Muslims in Cẩm Phả remain committed to their faith, often coordinating prayer times through local networks.

Prayer Time Orientation Prayer times in Cẩm Phả follow the daily rhythm of the sun, with Fajr beginning at dawn, Dhuhr at midday, Asr in the afternoon, Maghrib at sunset, and Isha at nightfall. These times vary throughout the year due to the city's latitude and seasonal changes in daylight. Cẩm Phả operates on Indochina Time (Asia/Bangkok, UTC+7). The Qibla direction for prayer is towards Mecca, with a bearing that can be determined using local maps or compasses. The distance to Mecca is approximately 7,000 kilometers, and the calculation method used is the standard for Vietnam.
