The city's history reflects centuries of Islamic influence, with mosques serving as centers of worship and community life. Today, Muslims in Al Fayyum maintain their religious practices, with prayer times guiding their daily routines.

Community Implantation: The Muslim community in Al Fayyum is well-served by numerous mosques and prayer places. Notable among them is Nasser Mosque, located in the First Al Faiyum district, which serves as a central prayer space. Other mosques, such as مسجد النور بالحريشي in Nazlet Al Harishi, extend the community's reach. The nearby city of Sinnuris also hosts several mosques, including Mubarak Mosque and Mosque of the Merciful, reflecting a widespread implantation of prayer places across the region.

Prayer Time Orientation: Muslims in Al Fayyum observe the five daily prayers—Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha—according to the city's timezone, Africa/Cairo. Prayer times vary throughout the year due to seasonal changes in sunrise and sunset, influenced by Al Fayyum's latitude. The Qibla direction and distance to Mecca are key for orientation during prayer. The calculation method used ensures accurate timings for the local community.
