Muslim Presence in Zhalantun: Zhalantun, a city in the Hulunbuir region of Inner Mongolia, has a small but established Muslim community. While historical records are limited, the presence of a mosque indicates a long-term settlement of Muslims in the area, likely tied to trade routes and migration patterns over the past century. The community maintains its religious practices discreetly within the broader cultural landscape of northern China.

Community Implantation and Prayer Places: The Muslim community in Zhalantun is centered around the Mosque (East Gate), located on Xinqiao Street in the city. This mosque serves as the primary prayer place for local Muslims, offering a space for daily prayers and community gatherings. The mosque's address in the eastern part of the city reflects the implantation of the community in that sector, providing a focal point for religious life in Zhalantun.

Prayer Time Orientation: Muslims in Zhalantun observe the five daily prayers—Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha—according to the local timezone, Asia/Shanghai. Prayer times vary throughout the year due to changes in sunrise and sunset, influenced by the city's latitude. The calculation method used ensures alignment with Islamic jurisprudence. The Qibla direction, determined from Zhalantun's coordinates, guides worshippers toward Mecca, which lies thousands of kilometers to the west.
