Muslim Presence in Santa Rita Santa Rita, a city in the state of Paraíba, Brazil, is home to a small but established Muslim community. While historical records are limited, the presence of prayer places indicates a long-term settlement of Muslims in the region, contributing to the city's diverse cultural fabric.

Community and Prayer Places The Muslim community in Santa Rita is served by at least two prayer places. One notable location is the Mesquita e Centro Islâmico de João Pessoa, situated about 13 km away in the neighboring city of João Pessoa, on Avenida Santa Catarina. Additionally, a prayer space exists within Santa Rita itself, on Rua Santo Antônio in the Açude district, reflecting the local implantation of the community.

Prayer Time Orientation Muslims in Santa Rita observe the five daily prayers—Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha—according to the local timezone, America/Fortaleza. Prayer times vary throughout the year due to changes in sunrise and sunset, influenced by the city's latitude and season. The Qibla direction and distance to Mecca are key for orientation during prayer, and the calculation method used ensures accuracy for the region.
