Muslim Presence in Saguenay Saguenay, located in the province of Quebec, is home to a small but established Muslim community. Over the years, Muslims have settled in the city, contributing to its multicultural fabric. The community includes families, students, and professionals who observe their faith while integrating into the broader Saguenay society. The presence of Islam in the city reflects the gradual growth of diverse religious communities in Quebec's regions.

Community and Prayer Spaces While Saguenay does not have a large number of dedicated mosques, the Muslim community gathers for prayers in available spaces. The city's prayer places are primarily located in residential areas, serving the needs of local Muslims. These spaces provide a venue for daily prayers, Friday congregational prayers, and community events. The community's implantation is modest but active, with efforts to maintain regular prayer schedules and religious observances.

Prayer Time Orientation Muslims in Saguenay follow the five daily prayers: Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha. Prayer times vary throughout the year due to the city's northern latitude, with significant changes between summer and winter. The calculation method used ensures accurate timings based on the sun's position. Saguenay is in the America/Toronto timezone, and the Qibla direction is oriented towards Mecca, with a specific bearing that guides worshippers during prayer. Understanding these variations helps residents and visitors plan their daily routines around prayer times.
