Muslim Presence in Quito: Quito, the capital of Ecuador, is home to a small but established Muslim community. Over the years, Muslims have settled in the city, contributing to its multicultural fabric. The community includes both local converts and expatriates from various countries, who maintain their religious practices in this Andean metropolis.

Community and Prayer Spaces: While the Muslim population in Quito is modest, the community is served by a few prayer spaces and mosques. These places provide essential facilities for daily prayers and communal gatherings. The exact locations are spread across the city, ensuring accessibility for residents and visitors alike.

Prayer Times and Orientation: Prayer times in Quito are determined by the sun's position and vary throughout the year due to the city's equatorial latitude. The five daily prayers—Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha—follow the Islamic calendar and local sunrise and sunset. Quito operates on the America/Guayaquil timezone. The Qibla direction for prayer is oriented towards Mecca, and the distance from Quito to Mecca is approximately 13,000 kilometers.
