Muslim Presence in Jieshi Jieshi, a coastal city in Guangdong province, has a small but established Muslim community. While historical records are limited, the presence of Muslims in the region dates back centuries due to trade routes along the South China Sea. Today, the community continues to observe Islamic practices in this urban setting.

Community and Prayer Places The Muslim community in Jieshi is served by local prayer spaces that cater to residents and visitors. Although no specific mosques are listed in the immediate area, nearby cities such as Shanwei and Lufeng have established prayer facilities that support the regional Muslim population. These places provide essential services for daily prayers and community gatherings.

Prayer Times Orientation Prayer times in Jieshi follow the standard five daily prayers: Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha. The timings vary throughout the year due to the city's latitude (22.81°N) and seasonal changes in sunrise and sunset. Jieshi operates on China Standard Time (Asia/Shanghai). The Qibla direction and distance to Mecca are calculated based on the city's coordinates, ensuring accurate orientation for prayers.
