Muslim Presence in Itami: Itami, a city in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, is home to a small but established Muslim community. While historical records of Muslim settlement in Itami are limited, the presence of mosques and prayer facilities in the broader Kansai region indicates a long-term, stable community. Muslims in Itami are part of a diverse population that includes both Japanese converts and expatriates from various countries, contributing to the city's multicultural fabric.

Community Implantation through Prayer Places: The Muslim community in Itami is supported by a network of prayer places in nearby cities. Notable among them is the Kobe Muslim Mosque, located about 22 km away in Kobe's Chuo Ward, which serves as a central hub for Islamic activities. Additionally, several mosques and prayer rooms in Osaka, such as Masjid Istiqlal Osaka and Osaka Masjid, are within a 20 km radius. These facilities, along with prayer rooms in commercial areas like Namba City and Osaka Station, provide accessible spaces for daily prayers and community gatherings.

Prayer Time Orientation: Muslims in Itami follow the five daily prayers—Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha—according to the calculation method used for the region. Prayer times vary throughout the year due to changes in sunrise and sunset, influenced by Itami's latitude and the seasonal shifts. The city operates on Asia/Tokyo timezone. The Qibla direction for prayer is oriented towards Mecca, with a specific bearing that ensures accurate alignment. This daily rhythm helps Muslims maintain their spiritual practices while living in Itami.
