Muslim Presence in Honolulu: Honolulu, the capital of Hawaii, is home to a diverse population, including a small but established Muslim community. Muslims have been part of the city's fabric for decades, contributing to its multicultural character. While the community is not large, it is active and maintains places of worship that serve both residents and visitors.

Local Prayer Places: The Muslim community in Honolulu is served by several prayer spaces, including the Byodo-In Temple in Kaneohe, about 14 kilometers from downtown. This temple, though originally Buddhist, has been used by Muslims for prayers and reflects the interfaith harmony in the area. Other prayer facilities are found in various neighborhoods, providing convenient access for daily prayers.

Prayer Time Orientation: Prayer times in Honolulu follow the five daily prayers: Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha. These times shift throughout the year due to Honolulu's tropical latitude and the changing sunrise and sunset. The city operates on Hawaii-Aleutian Standard Time (HST). Muslims face the Qibla direction towards Mecca, and the distance from Honolulu to Mecca is approximately 13,000 kilometers. The calculation method used for prayer times is typically the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) or similar standard.
