Muslim Presence in Fes: Fes is one of Morocco's most historic cities, with a Muslim community that has been deeply rooted for centuries. As a major cultural and spiritual center, the city has long been home to a diverse population of Muslims who practice their faith daily. The presence of numerous mosques and prayer spaces throughout the city reflects the enduring Islamic heritage and the central role of prayer in the lives of residents.

Community and Mosques: The Muslim community in Fes is served by a network of mosques and prayer places across the city and its surroundings. Notable among them is the Slaoui mosque, located in nearby Sefrou, which serves as a key prayer site for the region. Within Fes itself, mosques such as Mosque Al Abawayne provide convenient places for worship. The mapped prayer places extend to areas like Sefrou and Meknes, indicating a widespread implantation of the Muslim community across the broader Fes region.

Prayer Time Orientation: Muslims in Fes observe the five daily prayers—Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha—according to the city's timezone, Africa/Casablanca. Prayer times vary throughout the year due to changes in sunrise and sunset, influenced by the city's latitude and the seasons. The Qibla direction and distance to Mecca are key for orientation during prayer. The calculation method used ensures accurate timings for the local community.
