Muslim Presence in Dourados Dourados, located in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, is home to a small but established Muslim community. The city's Islamic presence has grown over the years, with families and individuals practicing their faith in a predominantly Christian environment. The community is known for its peaceful coexistence and active participation in local cultural events.

Community and Prayer Spaces While Dourados does not have a large number of dedicated mosques, the Muslim community gathers for prayers in private spaces or travels to nearby cities with more established Islamic centers. The absence of mapped prayer places in Dourados itself indicates a smaller, close-knit community that relies on informal arrangements for worship.

Prayer Times and Orientation Prayer times in Dourados follow the daily rhythm of Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha, varying throughout the year due to the city's latitude and seasonal changes in sunrise and sunset. The city is in the America/Campo_Grande timezone. Muslims orient themselves towards the Qibla, facing Mecca, which is located thousands of kilometers away across the Atlantic Ocean. The calculation method used ensures accurate timings for daily prayers.
