While historical records are limited, the presence of Muslims in Cobán reflects the broader diversity of Guatemala's religious landscape. The community has grown organically over the years, with families and individuals practicing Islam in this predominantly Christian region. The city's peaceful environment allows Muslims to observe their faith while contributing to the local cultural fabric.

Community and Prayer Places: Currently, there are no mapped mosques or prayer places in Cobán. This indicates that the Muslim community is small and may gather in private homes or informal settings for prayers. The absence of dedicated prayer spaces does not diminish the community's commitment to their faith. Muslims in Cobán likely rely on each other for support and may travel to nearby cities with established mosques for larger gatherings. As the community grows, the need for a dedicated prayer space may emerge.

Prayer Time Orientation: For Muslims in Cobán, the five daily prayers—Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha—structure the day according to the sun's position. Prayer times vary throughout the year due to Cobán's latitude and the changing seasons. The city operates on Central Standard Time (America/Guatemala), which remains constant without daylight saving adjustments. The calculation method used for prayer times ensures accuracy for Cobán's location. While specific Qibla direction and distance to Mecca are not provided, Muslims in Cobán face towards the Kaaba in Mecca during prayers, adjusting their orientation based on local coordinates.
