Muslim Presence in Bagerhat: Bagerhat, a historic city in southwestern Bangladesh, has a long-standing Muslim community that has shaped its cultural and religious landscape. The city is known for the Sixty Dome Mosque, a UNESCO World Heritage site, reflecting the region's Islamic heritage. Today, Muslims in Bagerhat maintain a strong tradition of daily prayers and community life, with mosques serving as central hubs for worship and social gatherings.

Community Implantation through Mosques: The Muslim community in Bagerhat is well-served by numerous prayer places, including the prominent Char Atjuri Dakshin Para Jame Masjid located in the Atjuri area of Mollarhat. This mosque, along with others in the city and nearby Khulna, such as Baitun Nazat Jame Masjid and Baitush Sharaf Jame Mosque, provides accessible prayer facilities for residents and visitors. The presence of these mosques across various neighborhoods and along key roads like Khan Jahan Ali Road and Rupsha Strand Road highlights the widespread implantation of the Muslim community in the region.

Prayer-Time Orientation: For Muslims in Bagerhat, the five daily prayers—Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha—follow the natural rhythm of the sun, with timings varying throughout the year due to seasonal changes in sunrise and sunset. The city operates on Bangladesh Standard Time (Asia/Dhaka). Prayer times are calculated using standard methods, and the Qibla direction is oriented towards Mecca, which lies to the west-southwest.
