Description
The Blue Mosque, also known as Gök Jami, is a historic Persian-style mosque located in the Kentron district of Yerevan, Armenia. Built between 1764 and 1768 during the rule of Huseyn Ali Khan, it features a large blue dome and a minaret. The mosque complex includes a courtyard, a madrasa, and a library. It is the only functioning mosque in Yerevan and serves the local Shia Muslim community. The mosque underwent restoration in the 1990s and is also a cultural center for the Iranian embassy.
