Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, known as the Prophet's Mosque, is located in the heart of Medina, Saudi Arabia. It is the second holiest mosque in Islam after Masjid al-Haram in Mecca. The mosque was originally built by Prophet Muhammad and is his final resting place. The Green Dome marks the tomb of the Prophet. The mosque has undergone numerous expansions and can accommodate over a million worshippers. It is a major pilgrimage site for Muslims visiting Medina.
